I have always liked Shepard Fairey’s work, and he has a new poster with Bush on it that’s got some interesting dialogue around it.
I am always surprised how the right wing is so adamant about how we should ‘support’ our troops, government, etc. and at the same time blast the left for speaking out. Another absurd example is the situation with Tim Robbins and Bull Durham.
that’s robbins story is a sad commentary on our times, echos of the mcarthy hearings, blacklisting transmorgified to the times.
i support our troops in the sense that i have compassion for the ignorant. many had little other choice out of the poverty, for example.
