My observations of last night…

Time for another party…

People all over must be getting fed up with stuff. In the New York Times this week was an article about how to fight back. I really dig the use of the postage paid return mailers… Join the fight and do your part!

Seems like things are always going in waves.

It reminds me of the time Steve Saylor and I were tripping out on the water in Puget Sound and just enjoying the moments of the water coming in. Lately, there have been a lot of new people I’ve been meeting that have really piqued my interest for various reasons.

I feel like I’m getting a does of all these different types of people and I’m taking some of the good away from each, but some have reminded me more of the things I want to avoid so I guess there’s some sorta reason why I am crossing paths.

At dinner this week my friend relayed a story about her recent trip which started off a bit shaky but wrapped up quite nicely, and I feel like that’s what’s happening with these interactions I’m having. I don’t know yet what the good and bad ones are, but then there really aren’t any bad ones, just ones that you learn different things from I guess…

Today I found out my pet cat Molly died. She died sleeping on her favorite spot laying in the sun. She was very old and I can’t think of a better way for her to have passed away.

Well, I dunno if it’s because Valentine’s Day is coming up or what, but this week has been an active one for chatting with my friends who are girls and all their relationship stuff. One of my friends is having drama issues with some of her other friends who won’t leave her be, but then those girls do seem to thrive on drama.

Last night this girl I think is pretty cool and very hot told me she had a crush on me for a while and I was kind of stunned that a) I never would have guessed it b/c I would have considered her in a different league, and b) she’s hot so I was astonished that she would be into me (OK so maybe those two reasons are actually the same one).

Anyhow, tonight it all culminated as I was covering the Olivia Cruises party at their new HQ. This little girl was approached by Mayor Newsom and she gave him a quizzical looked and asked him directly “who are you?” in a the way a smart kid would ask of a stranger who came up to talk to them. It was classic as he had to explain who he was to her…

and here’s her introducing him to her friends with glee, knowing he’s the Mayor and not just some weird guy in a suit.

A few nights ago it was so nice and clear out at night that I felt the urge to ride my bike up somewhere to get a few shots of San Francisco. At one particular vista looking over the city it just looked beautiful and I took a few photos across the sweeping view. I thought I’d see if I could put them together as a panoramic and checked out the Photoshop help and it was actually so easy and came out pretty nice…

So having been back home for over a week now, I totally had a Garden State experience here since I had seen some folks I hadn’t seen for about 15 years and it was all quite enjoyable but at the same time a bit odd.

The real Garden State moment happened earlier this night, but this is part of the toll that was taken:

Of course I also thought about a ton of people I hadn’t remembered for a while and so I pulled out my old yearbooks for reference. One girl that hung out with us was in my sister’s grade which is kind of crazy and she showed me a photo of her from her yearbook.

Looking through the annuals, I had to laugh reading old entries and seeing what I was up to in that era.
