Yep, after tasting way too many beers at the BreastFest (photos) at Fort Mason Center, a few of us smartly got the urge for In-n-Out Burger and headed down to the Wharf! As you can see, we wolfed them down and this was all that was left. BreastFest itself was really fun. I tried a ton of beers and of course had some old favorites too. A complete list after the jump! I love In-n-Out Burger
Wed July 7, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #32 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Rohnert Park, CA
Ah sunny Sonoma County! Coming back from the Vintner’s Inn I just had to make a quick stop at this In-n-Out which had a pretty interesting mix of clientele. This was also the one where the cashier had the most trouble with my order. I think I’ll record me ordering the next time since people seem to often be confused with my order. I even tell them it should just say “Animal P O” and it should be correct.
Of course I’ve got my order ‘genex style’ wrong quite a bit and all the receipts are often different too…
Fri July 2, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #31 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Pinole, CA
I underestimated Fourth of July traffic and it took me nearly two hours to get to the Pinole In-n-Out Burger from San Francisco so I was super starving when I did get there. I was running a bit late because of that but just couldn’t do the eating-in-the-car thing so instead chowed down inside. Luckily the order came out remarkably fast for In-n-Out and my genex style Double Double was just right! It seems lately the staff ask if I want raw onions “instea”d or “in addition to” more often instead of saying “both” types of onions. Well it was pretty tasty, but I think the irritation from the traffic and rushing made it my least enjoyable burger of the year – damn traffic!!!
Sun June 27, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #30 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Pleasanton, CA
My friend Maryann just moved out to California and hadn’t yet been to In-n-Out Burger so I had to take her – well, that, and the fact that we had to shoot an actor from Twilight: Eclipse in Pleasanton so of course there’s an In-n-Out on the way! Anyhow, we got there and it was so nice out so we decided to eat outside, but the blasphemous thing was that Maryann didn’t even order anything but a coffee – an iced coffee at that! Oh well, I enjoyed my Double Double genex-style well enough.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I went to In-n-Out twice in one day, big deal. And it was the same In-n-Out. I guess I should have just saved my cup and got a ‘refill’ eh? Well, the first one in the morning was eaten in the car, which was just a bit too stressful for my non-driving ass, so this time I went inside to enjoy my genex-style Double Double. The perfect reward for a good wedding shoot and to bring me up from the crushing US defeat and crash out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup…
Sat June 26, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #28 – Double Double Animal Style – Daly City, CA
Number 28 was a challenge. I was driving to a wedding past Half Moon Bay and had to get there on time, but also wanted to watch the USA vs. Ghana World Cup match so I knew I had to get down south fast, to sit my ass down at a sports bar to take in as much of the match as I could, and also get my fix of In-n-Out to fuel me for the long day of shooting. So I did the drive through thing and ate this Animal Style Double Double in the car while trying to avoid crashing. Since the CA-1 is such a gorgeous drive and super windy, this was especially difficult, and hence the decision to not get it “genex style” which is even harder to eat cleanly. I thought that this very American meal would help propel the US past Ghana, but alas, I had to leave the sports bar as it went into the extra time and just as I turned the radio on, I heard Ghana score. Damn you USA, I should have got it ‘genex style’ I guess… I take the blame but am now supporting the Black Stars!

Thu June 10, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #26 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Gilroy, CA
What’s the best thing to eat before a photoshoot outdoors in the sun? An In-n-Out Burger Double Double of course. So we had to drive down to Watsonville for our shoot at Driscoll’s and the Gilroy In-n-Out Burger was the perfect pit stop. It was so nice and sunny and we got here early so it wasn’t even that busy! Oh and those are animal style fries (extra crispy) in the background, which Vicki recommended and that Natalie tried for the first time… mmm…
Tue June 8, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #25 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Daly City, CA
Ah the first In-n-Out Burger of June! After shooting at City College I felt I was too close to this In-n-Out Burger in Daly City not to make the jaunt down the 280 to get my fix. Vicki picked me up from the shoot and we got this to eat in the car – the prefect post-shoot reward.
Sun May 24, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #24 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Long Beach, CA
Thank you Jetblue for the $9 flight down to Long Beach from San Francisco. It also enabled me to get this one last In-n-Out Burger since there was one in Long Beach not far from LGB. I almost felt it was too much to have yet another Double Double, but knowing that I’d be rental car-less for a while I thought it best to go ahead and have one more. This one seemed a little sloppy on the secret sauce, and I imagine Harry Snyder might not have approved. At least it tasted swell!
Fri May 21, 2010: In-N-Out Burger #23 – Double Double genex Style (correctly made) – Westwood, CA
Well, well, well, this was one of the ones I had to check out and I was pretty amped to finally make it out to the Kanner Architects designed Westwood location. This spot is pretty choice since there are tons of UCLA coeds swarming the area and of course the design of this one is really pretty sweet. Apparently, according to the In-n-Out Burger Wikipedia page, it’s one of the few variances from the ‘templates’ that most of the In-n-Out Burgers fit into. The others are our own Fisherman’s Wharf location and one in Santa Clarita, north of LA. The actual drive-thru of this location is pretty random. I wasn’t using it but realized afterwards that you pretty much need to know where the entrance for the drive thru is before you get here since it’s some random alley without a sign. Back to the actual burger, it was spot on as usual and it was definitely the most fun actual location to eat my genex style double double!
